An Evening Glouton... Part Duex!

Part two of our zestfully themed date night continues with photos of our chef fabuleux, Madam Sarah, posing with one of her and the artiste Mika's own version of a sweet Nutella and strawberry crepe. 

 Unfortunately some dishes were gone by the time the photos got taken.  And not pictured was a zesty and fruity quinoa dish provided by le chef ingénieux, Marisa.  The evening also featured coconut rice and a sweetly sexual ginger vegetable stir fry from Matt and Roseanne.  We had an additionally fabulous cadeau from Claire, Chinese Eggplant.  Quite authentique by my own traveled taste buds (and certainly one wouldn't want to fake it on the first date, now would we?)  We also had an irresistibly fresh, balanced and flavorful salad from Hillary.  Additionally, yours truly produced deep-fried-pumpkin-pie covered with pudding and whipped cream ala Her Holiness Paula Deen:

 And not to forget, Matt and Roseanne's amuse-gueule salés, bread covered in... I'm not sure what that is.  But if someone made it for me on a date, I'd be less impossible:

An Evening Glouton

Everyone took on the challenge of a first time cooking with a hot new date challenge pretty seriously.  Zach starts off our posts from the evening with a fantastic casserole that includes, in words, "a whole bunch of things that by themselves do not taste so good but when taken together and mixed with cream and baked--tastes amazing."  As any date should be.

Our Lovely Meghan took traditional romance to task and altered your average buttermilk biscuits with a cheesy, garlic and butter addition.  

She took the tantalizing temptation of raw cookie dough--much like the hard-to-suppress desire to kiss someone special on a first date--and offered us a guilt free indulgence in it with her cookie-dough cookie dip:

Sex In A Pan

At the inaugural meeting of the Cooking Club, Meghann created "Sex in a pan" for dessert.  If there were ever a reason to skip a hot date to go to cooking club, this would be it.  Sex in a pan starts out as a graham cracker base on which one adds layers of pudding, cream cheese frosting, chocolate chip bits and cool whip.  It is six layers of pure pleasure, what you wish every erotic encounter would feel like.  A photo of this scandalous treat will follow shortly.
